The 2010 Palmetto Palate is the South Carolina Farm Bureau’s fourth annual summer celebration that joins the state’s best locally grown products with some of South Carolina’s best chefs to create a true taste of South Carolina. This year’s event will be held on July 22 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 701 Whaley Street in Columbia.
Many of the chefs that participated in 2009 will return for this year’s event to create what will surely be a menu of fantastic, mouth-watering foods. In addition, a silent auction will be held that features items unique to South Carolina and agriculture.
Tickets for the annual celebration of agriculture are $50 per person and are available by calling Kristin Lavender in Cayce, SC, 803-936-4219. SCFB will accept cash, checks, Visa and Master Card for payment. Proceeds from the event will support the Friends of Farm Bureau Political Action Committee fund, which supports candidates for the SC General Assembly who promote agriculture and the initiatives of the SC Farm Bureau Federation.
